American actor Kyle Paul has opened up about his experience of working for the highly anticipated Kannada-English movie Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, has KGF star Yash in the lead.

In a video message to fans, Paul, known for projects such as Blue Bloods (2010), John Carter (2012) and Gotham (2014), said he had a “really good experience on a movie set in India.” “I am filming a movie called Toxic. It’s 3:00 am in the morning and I just completed a scene,” he starts off in the video.

“The scene had really high emotions but then I had to speak an Indian language called Kannada. I had to be emotional and also think logically in all those words I couldn’t understand. My mind wasn’t working. My director was supportive,” said Paul.

“Geetu is adorable and sweet. I kept repeating my mistakes but the whole crew, including Geetu, cheered me on. It’s the best experience I have had on sets.”

Recently, Hollywood choreographer JJ Perry called the film “a banger.” “Was a pleasure working with my friend Yash on the film Toxic. Had a great run in India,” wrote Perry on Instagram. “I got to work with a lot of my dear friends from all over Europe. I can’t wait for everybody to see this one. It’s a banger! So proud of what we did,” he added.

On Yash’s birthday (January 08, 2025), the makers of Toxic released a glimpse of the film. Toxic was supposed to release on April 10, 2025. However, the release of the movie has now been pushed indefinitely. Toxic will be shot in Kannada and English and it will be dubbed in multiple languages.
