The BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric is designed to stand out in its segment, offering impressive dimensions and the most spacious second-row seating among its competitors. With a length of 4,616 mm and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, this model is the largest in its class, providing more interior room for passengers and cargo. The SUV’s bold design, featuring an upright front with the signature BMW kidney grille and adaptive LED headlights, complements its commanding presence on the road.

Manufactured at BMW Group Plant Chennai, this all-electric SUV is exclusively available in the eDrive20L drivetrain. The X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric delivers a potent 204 hp and 250 Nm of torque from its front-axle electric motor. This translates into responsive acceleration and dynamic driving performance, which is a hallmark of the BMW brand. The car offers a range of up to 531 kilometres, based on the MIDC cycle, thanks to its 66.4 kWh high-voltage battery. The adaptive recuperation and one-pedal driving mode further enhance driving efficiency by regenerating energy during braking.

A standard 11 kW AC charger takes approximately 6.5 hours for a full charge, while customers also receive a complimentary BMW Wallbox charger for home use.

BMW has equipped the X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric with cutting-edge technology, including the latest BMW iDrive system running on the BMW Operating System 9. This system integrates voice and touch control for a seamless user experience. The car also supports features like Smart eRouting, which allows customers to plan their EV journeys with optimised charging stops based on battery status and traffic conditions. BMW India’s extensive charging network ensures access to over 5,000 public charging points across the country.

The BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric’s interior reflects luxury and comfort with ample space for all occupants. The cabin is equipped with high-quality materials, including a luxurious trim with ambient lighting and a premium Harman Kardon sound system. The large panoramic sunroof adds to the sense of openness, while the multi-way electrically adjustable sport seats ensure optimal comfort for both the driver and front passenger.

The rear cabin is notably spacious, offering generous legroom and seats that can recline up to 28.5 degrees for superior comfort during long drives. BMW has focussed on ergonomic design to enhance both driver and passenger experience, with an advanced floating armrest and easy-to-use control systems.

BMW continues to prioritise safety with a comprehensive suite of features. The X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric comes standard with Driver Assistance Systems like Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Pedestrian Protection. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with eight airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and advanced crash sensors for increased safety on the road.

The car also features the segment-first Reversing Assistant, which can remember and reverse along the same path for up to 50 metres, enhancing convenience when parking or manoeuvring in tight spaces.

The BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric is available for booking at BMW dealerships across India, with the eDrive20L M Sport variant priced at ₹49,00,000 (ex-showroom).
